Rocks & CoFormer GemsTV presenter Vicki Burton is to head up Rocks and Co the brand new fixed priced Jewellery Channel from JML.

Even though Burton is a well known face to selling jewellery on the telly, she will not entertain any applications from other former or current shopping telly presenters.

Rocks & Co said "Generally we are going for lesser known presenters in order to mould them into the JML style and build a direct association with the channel."

Max TVAn ad for a breath-testing device was broadcast on Max TV.  The female presenter explained ... We all know that drinking and driving is certainly not acceptable and is of course something you should never take a gamble on ... if you know you are going to be drinking then you really shouldnt drive at all ... but the fact is that many drink drivers are the people that never intended to break the law and thought that a couple of drinks would be OK ... with one of these alcohol breath testers youll be able to decide whether you really are safe to get behind the wheel ... it may just stop you from getting in the car, say, the morning after a heavy night when you might think that you are safe to drive but actually youre still over the legal limit and therefore breaking the law.  For the sake of less than £10 ... you could be fined, banned from driving, having a criminal record or even worse causing a serious accident.  It really is a no brainer.  Please dont take the risk"

GemsTV have made some changes to their game formats.

There have been recent changes to the ASA regulations regarding the way that shopping TV channels should operate. Some viewers have found the reverse auction format to be confusing / misleading and in light of these views, regulations have been amended.

In a proactive response to these changes GemsTV have added several formats to the way they operate. Listed below:

REVERSE PRICE QUANTITY GAMES
• Each game begins with a falling price and the number of items available in that particular game.
• The falling price is randomly generated and does not represent a value or worth.
• When the game starts you’ll see the price start to go down
• When the price reaches a level that you are willing to pay, you can join the game by calling our call centre or by logging onto gemstv.co.uk
• As customers enter the game we reduce the number of items available
• Sometimes we drop the price a lot in one go and that’s called a price crash
• The game will end when there are no longer any items available and at that point, no matter what price you entered the game, everyone pays the final low price.
• Be sure to stay on the telephone even if the game ends because sometimes there may still be a chance to grab your special piece.
